One-to-One Gardening Tuition

Tuition and Guidance Delivered in Your Own Garden

Do you want to take up gardening but don't really know where to start?

Have you been gardening for a while but still feel like there's a lot to learn?

Perhaps you would like to focus on a specific area, such as how to grow your own food, develop a cut flower garden, or to garden more sustainably.

Whether for yourself or a gift for a loved one, we will teach the skills and knowledge to create a flourishing garden.

How It Works
Cost
  • Each session is taught in a block of three hours, and is brought directly to you whether that be your garden, your allotment, or a paved back yard

  • There are five pre-structured sessions available to cover the calendar year, and these can be purchased either as an annual course, or individually as needed

  • A workbook will be provided for you to complete as we progress through the sessions. This will become a detailed account of your garden for your future reference

  • All of the equipment needed will be provided for use during the sessions. You are of course welcome to use your own. For those just starting out or venturing into a new aspect of gardening (for example, propagation), we have different kits available as optional purchases.

Course Outline

Below is an outline of the course options, recommended for somebody wishing to gain a wide breadth of skills and knowledge. The content can be tailored to your garden and current skill level, and varied as needed.

Session One - Your Garden
This first session is about gaining detailed insight into the characteristics of your garden. We will look at the soil, the aspect, the topography, the various climates, your specific plants, and really get to understand the space as a whole. We will consider the impact those factors have on your space, and the plants that are growing in it (or you would like to grow in it). This session will provide you with important knowledge that will inform your future gardening decisions.

The remaining four sessions are seasonal, and you will start with whichever is appropriate to the time of year when you book. It will be tailored to your space, but examples of relevant topics are listed below:
